Information we collect
- Account details such as your name, email address, and billing information.
- Authentication data including RADIUS usernames, connection timestamps, and assigned IPs.
- Aggregate usage metrics to operate and secure the platform.
- Support conversations sent to our helpdesk or abuse desk.
We do not inspect the contents of your dial-up traffic beyond what is required for routing and security monitoring.
How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Modemly network and software.
- Authenticate users and authorise dial-up sessions.
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
- Send transactional notices such as billing updates, maintenance windows, and policy changes.
- Meet legal obligations, including responding to valid law-enforcement requests.
Sharing information
We do not sell personal data. We share limited information with trusted vendors (for example payment processors and cloud infrastructure providers) under contracts that require them to safeguard your data and only use it to deliver services to us. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Modemly, our customers, or the public.
Data retention
- Billing records: seven years.
- Connection metadata: twelve months.
- Support correspondence: two years.
Request deletion of personal data by emailing [email protected]. We respond within 30 days where allowed by law.
Your choices
- Update profile information in the account portal.
- Opt out of non-essential marketing emails via unsubscribe links or by contacting [email protected].
- Disable cookies in your browser (core functionality will continue to work, but some preferences may not persist).
Security
We protect data with encryption in transit and at rest, network access controls, and regular security testing. Administrator access requires SSO or strong passwords with MFA.
