Modemly Terms of Service

1. Service description

Modemly provides managed dial-up Internet access, authentication, and supporting software for vintage hardware enthusiasts. Features may evolve to improve reliability and security.

2. Account requirements

You must be at least 18 years old or have consent from a parent or legal guardian. You are responsible for keeping login credentials secure and must notify [email protected] immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Acceptable use

All customers must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. We may suspend or terminate service for violations that impact Modemly, other customers, or the public.

4. Billing

Plans are billed monthly in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law. Accounts may be suspended for non-payment after prior notice.

5. Service availability

We operate the network with commercially reasonable care. Planned maintenance notices are provided at least 48 hours in advance. During unplanned incidents we post updates on the status page and via email.

6. Privacy

We handle personal data according to the Privacy Policy and limit collection to what is required to run the service.

7. Intellectual property

Modemly retains ownership of its software and branding. You may not redistribute or reverse engineer proprietary software except as permitted by open-source licences that accompany specific components.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is.” Modemly is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Aggregate liability is limited to the fees paid in the previous three months.

9. Termination

You may cancel at any time via the account portal or by emailing [email protected]. We may terminate or suspend accounts for AUP violations, security risks, or repeated non-payment.

10. Changes to these Terms

We provide at least 30 days notice before updating these Terms. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
